EKTA 2015 was a community outreach initiative of SUYUKTI, the oratory club of our department to involve and evolve, to share and care. Our students were glad to organise a soft skills training on INTERVIEW, GROUP DISCUSSION, & RESUME WRITING for selected 75 students from the sponsored villages (KOLAR & HOSKOTE) of CSA.  Through this venture in collaboration with Centre For Social Action (CSA), we never intended to do a social transformation but in turn in the process, we got transformed. It turned mutually beneficial as our students realised our worth and the beneficiaries, their self worth. We learned the value of genuineness and unadulterated love. We learned how we could give back to our society, and also how we could involve and evolve!

SUYUKTI (The Oratory Club of Department of Commerce)

The fourth edition of EKTA - the flagship event of SUYUKTI (The Oratory Club of Department of Commerce) was held on 7th and 8th of February 2018.  EKTA is a social outreach program to involve and evolve.  This was initiated in collaboration with CSA (Centre for Social Action) in the year 2015 with an intend to provide soft skills training for the job seeking youth from the villages in the outskirts of Bangalore.  The one-day training session includes training modules on Resume Writing, Personal Interview, Group Discussion, Email Drafting, and Presentation Skills.  This year EKTA-2018 extended its collaboration with CAPS (Centre for Academic and Professional Support) in getting one-week training for our student trainers. The discussions about career counseling and an inspirational session by Prof. Shubhashree Acharya and Prof. Sunil made a positive impact in the event.
